Go Heart My Tweet

If you are an avid tweeter you probably noticed yesterday that everybody’s favorite star was gone and replaced with a heart. But why? How can you let someone know their tweet made you laugh, wholeheartedly agree or you simply just wanted to be passive aggressive. The change according to Twitter Product Manager Akarshan Kumar is because, “not everything can be your favorite.” Nicely played, Twitter. Twitter says that the heart is less confusing than the star because it’s a universal symbol and allows you to easily show emotion and connect with others. So now should we tell people to heart or love our tweets? Follow us @equalman and @socialnomics to let us know. (Source Twitter)

What To Say When You Don’t Know How To Reply…

Ask Gmail for help. That could soon be a possibility with their new feature “smart reply”. The feature gives users three responses tailored to the incoming message that you can choose to ignore or customize. Smart reply will be hitting the Gmail app later this week so you can decide for yourself how you feel about technology replying to emails for you. Now we can all say let’s have my robot talk to your robot. (Source CNET)

In Case You Missed It…

Amazon opened up a store in real life. It’s a funny thing for the site who killed bookstores to open one for themselves. Amazon Books opened in Seattle yesterday. You can expect it to be like your average bookstore with the exception of taking data from their online customers to feature real reviews left by online customers. If you still prefer to buy books online, you can buy our book here. (Source The Verge)
