New Facebook Feature Alerts Impersonation
Facebook is trying to prevent online harassment and general confusion with a new feature that alerts you if they think someone is impersonating you with your name and profile picture. If Facebook thinks that someone is trying to be you, you’ll be asked to identify whether or not it is an impersonator. The feature is live in about 75% of the world. Sounds like they are trying to prevent catfish, sorry Nev and Max at MTV. (Source Mashable)

Instagram Notifications on the Web

Instagram’s web presence has been slow. They started web in 2012 with user profiles, then allowed for scrollable feed with likes and comments in 2013 and launched search in 2015. So what was missing? The notifications – which some might argue are the most important part. Yesterday, Instagram rolled out the activity tab on the web so now users can see who has given them #InstaLove. Thanks for Recycling, Here’s an iPhone Wallpaper

Apple wants customers to donate old iPhone devices with their Apple Renew program. As an incentive to get Apple customers to participate, they are redirecting those who have participated to Apple.com/Thanks where they are able to download one of three wallpapers for their Apple devices. Typically store credit is given for recycling but Apple wanted to offer a virtual gift as well. #iRecycle (Source Mashable)
