You are what you eat, right?

This old adage may be more spot-on than you know. What you eat truly is reflected in your health, your general well-being, and your appearance.

One of the most apparent things about your appearance is the way your diet is reflected in your skin.

And if you are looking for some great tips on what to eat and what not to eat to keep healthy, glowing, youthful skin, take a look at social media.

Finding out the Truth

Sometimes it’s hard to weed out the nonsense from the truth when skimming around on the Internet and social media, but by searching smartly, you can find what you’re looking for.

As the following article looks at, finding easy diet tips for great skin is pretty easy itself.

Basic Diet Tips for Beautiful Skin

Among the factors to keep in mind:

• Drink water – You hear this all the time pertaining to so many aspects of health, and skin is a major one that water will affect. Any bit of dehydration will sap your skin of its radiance, making fine lines more apparent. Keep a big bottle of water with you at all times. It doesn’t have to be fancy; straight from the tap is more than fine. The key to how much is that you should never be thirsty, some recommend six to eight glasses a day; some say it goes more towards body weight;

• Eat colorful food – And that means fruits and veggies, not processed and artificially dyed foods! When you begin your social media search, you’ll see all kinds of vitamins and minerals listed for healthy skin. One of the easiest ways to get all of them is eat the colors of the rainbow – grapes, strawberries, broccoli, carrots, kiwi, berries, sweet potatoes, bell peppers – your skin’s color will be healthy and radiant;

• Don’t do the wrong stuff – Smoking, drinking, over dieting can all sap your skin of its beauty by drying it out and depleting it of what it needs. Be kind to your skin and feed it lovingly.

Using Social Media

Social media is full of excellent health and wellness sources and you can find so much information on diet and skin by taking a little look:

• Be a liker – Like social media pages of your favorite sites and you’ll see them more often. If you have a favorite site or two; like them on Facebook and Instagram. You’ll get great articles direct to your social media and you won’t have to search;

• Ask questions on Twitter with hashtags – If you want to know the best foods or what’s bad to eat, ask on Twitter. For instance #skinandchocolate may get more feedback than you’ve ever thought;

• Read blogs – Blogs are such great sources of information. Check out some of your favorites on a regular basis or have them sent directly to your inbox.

Social media is so much more than a place to share your vacation photos. You can get loads of information; ask questions and share recipes and tips.

Use your social media and before you know it, your skin will be glowing.

Oh yeah, fill up that water bottle before you settle in to your social media search!
